Hello All!
I know that it’s not February yet but I wanted to touch on this now. Valentine’s day has to be the most annoying holiday when you aren’t dating someone. First off, the stores set out all these Valentine’s decorations right after Christmas. I just want to grab store owners by the shirt neck and be like Um excuse me but no one wants to see this crap! I am still in the frickin’ CHRISTMAS SPIRIT right now so take all this crap back into your dang warehouse until February. Valentine’s day is just another outlet for couples to show the rest of the world how great of a relationship they have and how cute they are together. News Flash: NO ONE CARES! All of these stuffed animals and boxes of chocolate say “I Love You” and other cute sayings along those lines but everyone knows that half the people don’t mean it! We all know what the boys in high school are after and it sure as heck ain’t our love…
In all honesty though, if I had a Valentine, I would want all the cute things. But I don’t and until I do, I will continue to hate Valentine’s day and those cute couples that rub their perfect little relationship in everyone else’s face.

i have received several valentines over the years from good friends who had no romantic interest in me whatsoever – during high school and after. they just wanted to lift my spirits or say that they appreciated me and they used a valentine to do it. if you are single, fight the trend which says valentine’s day is only intended for lovers and send a flower or something to someone else you care about.
